Love & Rage
V-Day is an international organized response to end violence against women.
Through the V-Day Western Campaign, student volunteers produce annual benefit performances and hold several events to raise awareness and funds for anti-violence groups. V-Day Western is in its 13th year of producing of The Vagina Monologues and its 7th year producing A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant, and a Prayer. Over the past nine years, the V-Day Western Campaign, through its annual productions and many fundraising events, has successfully raised over $90, 000 for local non-violence agencies. Click here for more information on our local beneficiaries.
Each year, V-Day also increases awareness by focusing on a specific group of women in the world who are resisting violence with courage and vision. In 2012, V-Day’s Spotlight Campaign was its very own One Billion Rising, a global action to demand the end to violence against women and girls. Click here for more information on the spotlight campaign.
V-Day often reaches out to the community for collaboration and involvement with its events. Call-outs are varied but include performances, submissions, donations, or venues. Click here here to see how you can get involved today.
Funds are also raised by selling radical, hand-made goods – from shirts to pussy pops. Click here here to see our merchandise.
